The Chevy Camaro Z/28 was born from the Trans Am racing series. Limited to 5.0L, these were confident racers of the day. High revving small blocks were the name of the game and the DZ302 is a legend. This RS Z/28 is a great example of true muscle car. The original owner, believed to be from New York State, purchased the car new in 1969 and held onto it until 1994. In that time period, he did a nice cosmetic restoration on the car – see the photos below.
This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Rally Sport Z/28’s restoration is still holding up well. The Garnet Red paint shows looks very nice and the finish is smooth with a nice shine to it. The Black Houndstooth interior have been redone and looks like new. It features a console with gauges, clock, tachometer, and an aftermarket AM/FM stereo. The 15” Rally Wheels shine so bright and are equipped with Goodyear Eagle GT Radials – a classic combo!
The 302 has been rebuilt a few years ago and the Muncie 4-Speed transmission shifts nicely. The 12-bolt rear has 3.73 gears in it to help scoot this street racer down the road quickly. It has a set of headers to help it breathe easier.To keep with its heritage, she has power disc brakes up front and manual steering for that connected to the road feel. This Camaro runs and drives awesome and the owner said he had it just for driving on weekends and special days. Just imagine all your stress go away when you come home from work, slide behind the wheel, fire this badass muscle car up and slip the shifter into 1st gear. That what it’s all about!
