This is one of the most exciting muscle cars – a 1969 Mustang custom built over a 2005 Mustang Saleen s281. This amazing combo has been completed by the famous TransAm Specialites of Florida. Or, as these guys say: “yes we put two cars in one”.
This is a very unique car as they used the complete unibody from bumper to bumper. The thing is that they didn’t cut the floor affecting wheel base geometry and integrity as well. Simply the best of the two worlds, the beauty of the sixties and the technology of the new cars. These cars were carefully fused together keeping the lines and the original sizes of the ’69 mustang. And you should have in mind that the new cars are wider and designed with bigger compartments. Muscle Cars World is amazed by this fantastic built!
Since they kept the geometry of the 05 saleen, this car is perfectly aligned! The suspension is been upgraded by Saleen from the stock base GT. The brakes are also Saleen provided with 13 inch rotors and Brembo calipers (front), rear are stock 05 Mustang GT. The engine is the 4.6 supercharged by Saleen, producing 400 hp and 420 foot pounds of torque. Read more!
All electronics features from Saleen are there, including traction control, ABS, air bags, A/C, wire harness and even navigation system. All the parts are original and made by Ford and Saleen, except the rims, tires and windshield wipers.
The whole interior has been accommodated to fit both cars properly. This car has been built professionally and with attention to detail, it is a winner of “the dub show tour 2011″ car show at the Miami convention center for “Best Ford” award. The car has been appraised at $120,000 and it sure worth even more!
